Ethereum is trading at $2,443.79 as of August 23, 2026. That’s up 1.34% over the past 24 hours.
The price move comes after ETH reclaimed a support level. Market watchers are now looking at the next resistance test.
Trading volume for the day sits at $17.11 million. Ethereum’s market cap stands at $294.76 billion.
Crypto analyst JAVON MARK shared his view on X. He said Ethereum has extended its recovery after reclaiming a post-breakout support zone.
According to Mark, ETH has gained roughly 55% from that support level. He points to this as a sign of renewed buying pressure.
Mark’s post suggests bulls are working to build a stronger upward structure. He flagged $4,811.71 as the next key resistance for Ethereum.
Whale Activity Picks Up
Onchain tracker Lookonchain also posted new data on X. The account reported that Ethereum whales have pulled large sums from Binance in recent weeks.
One wallet, labeled 0x2d59, withdrew 30,000 ETH worth $67.42 million. That brings the same wallet’s three-week total to 120,000 ETH, worth $237.7 million.
Abraxas Capital also withdrew ETH from Binance. The firm pulled 18,000 ETH, valued at $39.56 million.
A newer wallet, 0x2261, withdrew 6,704 ETH worth $14 million. Combined, these transactions add up to over 54,700 ETH worth about $121 million.
Withdrawals from exchanges often mean holders plan to keep coins rather than sell. Traders track this activity as a sign of demand.
What the $4,811 Level Means
The $4,811.71 mark is described as the resistance standing between Ethereum and further gains. A clean break above it would confirm bullish structure.
If ETH clears that level, some analysts point to $8,500 as the next target. That target depends on the breakout holding.
Failure to break through could lead to consolidation instead. Ethereum may trade sideways or slip back if buyers lose momentum at resistance.
For now, Ethereum sits below the $4,811 mark while whale withdrawals continue. The combination of price action and exchange outflows remains the focus for traders watching ETH this week.
